  • The Education Foundation of Morris Plains is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit volunteer organization that raises funds for innovation in education for all students in the Morris Plains School District. We have provided more than $100,000 to fund worthy projects in all grades that were outside the district's regular budget.

  • The Education Foundation of Morris Plains (EFMP) raises funds through applying for outside grants and by hosting unique, community-building fundraisers. These have included our signature Strides for Education 5K Walk/Run; Harlem Wizards vs. Morris Plains Teachers and staff basketball games; Beer & Bites craft beer and food tasting; A Toast to Excellence wine-tasting; Marvelous Homes of Morris Plains house tour; and more.

  • The EFMP can use as much or little of your time and talent as you can spare! We are looking for enthusiasm and expertise in event planning, attracting sponsors, marketing, social media, grant writing and more. 2023 EFMP Strides for Education 5k Team Challenge Winners

With nearly 70% of racers joining the 2023 team challenge, the 8th annual Strides for Education 5K smashed previous records for team participation. Team Rotary Friends of Jack Doherty (pictured here on race day) took home the title of Biggest Team for the second year in a row with an impressive 43 walkers and runners, making them the team to beat in 2024. Team Morris Plains Soccer snagged the 2023 Team Spirit Award with flashy headbands and passionate participation. Both winning teams will enjoy a team party courtesy of the Education Foundation of Morris Plains, with generous support from our 2023 5K in-kind donors and volunteers. Congratulations and thank you to all our team participants for making 2023 a race to remember!
