  • The Education Foundation of Morris Plains is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit volunteer organization that raises funds for innovation in education for all students in the Morris Plains School District. We have provided more than $100,000 to fund worthy projects in all grades that were outside the district's regular budget.

  • The Education Foundation of Morris Plains (EFMP) raises funds through applying for outside grants and by hosting unique, community-building fundraisers. These have included our signature Strides for Education 5K Walk/Run; Harlem Wizards vs. Morris Plains Teachers and staff basketball games; Beer & Bites craft beer and food tasting; A Toast to Excellence wine-tasting; Marvelous Homes of Morris Plains house tour; and more.

  • The EFMP can use as much or little of your time and talent as you can spare! We are looking for enthusiasm and expertise in event planning, attracting sponsors, marketing, social media, grant writing and more. What We Do

We raise funds to support education in the Morris Plains School District through outside grants, donations and community-building events.

Funds raised go to teacher grants to support exciting and innovative educational programs that are outside the school district's budget. These programs enrich our students, our community and the larger world our students will enter.

The EFMP has been able to donate more than $100,000 to the Morris Plains School District. Major projects include the state-of-the-art digital broadcast studio at Borough School; a significant upgrade of the middle school science lab; the Stories Abound in the Community of Caring book project; coding bots at both Mountain Way and Borough School; and enhancements to both Mountain Way School and Borough School iSteam labs. EFMP has also funded an Artist in Residence in global dance for second graders at Mountain Way and actively supports the district's strategic goal of enhancing Social and Emotional Learning (SEL).
